Now the end is near
I and trembling with fear
oh dear
now it is clear

For I haven't begun what the chorus has sung
the day the sling was flung

I will not nap
until i get a cap
one that covers my eyes
and that I don't despise

The day the boy scout cries
the day the world dies
no matches spark
the world grows dark
no song to be sung
our days are done
